Professional Profile – Facility Manager 

Role Mission

Ensure the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of all factory facilities, infrastructure, and support services. The Facility Manager guarantees that the plant environment enables smooth production, compliance with defense and safety standards, and provides high-quality conditions for employees (canteen, sports facilities, utilities, and technical maintenance).

Core Responsibilities

1. Facility Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee daily operation of all buildings, utilities, and technical infrastructure.
• Manage maintenance schedules for HVAC, water, energy, and critical safety systems.
• Ensure 24/7 readiness of facilities supporting high-risk production.

2. Workplace Services

• Organize and supervise canteen/food service operations, cleaning, waste management, and security services.
• Implement workplace improvements (sports facilities, employee areas, parking, transport).
• Ensure proper housing/logistics for employees where relevant.

3. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with Danish building codes, HSE standards, fire safety, and defense production infrastructure requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and emergency drills.
• Liaise with auditors, local authorities, and defense inspectors regarding facility standards.

4. Sustainability & Cost Management

• Track and optimize facility-related OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts (cleaning, catering, utilities providers).

5. People & Collaboration

• Lead internal facility/technical service teams.
• Coordinate with HR, Production, HSE, and Security to align infrastructure with workforce needs.
• Act as main point of contact for external contractors.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Bachelor/Master in Facility Management, Engineering, or similar.
• Experience:
• 5–10 years in facility management (industrial/production preferred).
• Experience with high-risk industries (defense, energy, pharma) is a strong plus.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of Danish facility laws, HSE, and compliance standards.
• Strong vendor and budget management.
• Technical expertise in utilities, energy, and maintenance systems.
• Project management skills (renovations, new builds, sustainability projects).
• Languages: English (B2–C1). Danish — strong advantage.

• Facility operational system established and fully functional (cleaning, canteen, maintenance, security).
• At least 2 sustainability projects implemented (e.g., energy efficiency, waste reduction).
• Compliance with all facility-related audits (HSE, defense, municipal).
• Employee satisfaction with workplace services >80% (canteen, gym, infrastructure).
• Vendor contracts optimized with minimum 10% cost efficiency compared to baseline.

Position in Org Structure: Reports to Head of Infrastructure & Services. Works closely with HSE, HR, Security, and Production.
