KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for flight control, navigation, and mission execution
- Integrate sensor data (GNSS, IMU, visual, etc.) for robust real-time decision making
- Collaborate closely with the hardware and avionics teams to ensure seamless integration between software and electronics
- Implement safety-critical logic, fail-safes, and redundancy protocols
- Conduct simulations, HIL testing, and in-field debugging of flight software
- Optimize performance for constrained environments (limited power, compute, memory)
- Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to future design iterations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++)
- Deep understanding of microcontrollers (ARM Cortex series or similar) and RTOS-based systems
- Experience with low-level communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)
- Strong debugging and hardware bring-up skills
- Familiarity with navigation systems (GNSS, INS) and sensor integration
- Proficiency in working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices
- Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-driven teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with PX4/ArduPilot/Betaflight/iNav or other UAV flight stacks
- Familiarity with AI-based navigation or computer vision techniques
- Knowledge of power management and energy-efficient embedded design
- Military or aerospace project experience is a plus
