The Supply Chain Manager ensures a safe, compliant, and efficient end-to-end material flow — from suppliers to production and delivery.
This role builds the structure, systems, and relationships required to support high-precision manufacturing in a defense and chemical environment.
The Supply Chain Manager acts as a bridge between Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, and Production Planning, ensuring operational continuity, transparency, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Strategy & System Integration

  • Develop and implement the site’s supply chain strategy aligned with production and business objectives.
  • Build and document all supply chain processes (greenfield setup).
  • Lead ERP/MRP system integration for material tracking, planning, and cost visibility.
  • Establish KPI dashboards for delivery performance, cost, and compliance monitoring.

2. Procurement Oversight

  • Supervise and coordinate the Procurement Manager to ensure sourcing meets production schedules and compliance requirements.
  • Approve key supplier strategies, long-term contracts, and CAPEX/OPEX purchases.
  • Ensure adherence to export control, REACH, and AQAP/ISO standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

3. Warehousing & Inventory Management

  • Oversee operations of two on-site warehouses (raw materials and finished goods) and coordinate inventory management at the consolidation warehouse in one European country.
  • Ensure accurate stock control, storage procedures, and full ERP traceability across all locations.
  • Manage the inbound flow of raw materials (purchased globally) and coordinate regular replenishments from Poland to the plant every 1–2 days.
  • Supervise the outbound logistics of finished products – ensure safe temporary storage and timely dispatch to Poland for consolidation and further shipment to Ukraine according to delivery schedules.
  • Guarantee FIFO/FEFO execution, safety compliance, and real-time inventory visibility across the entire supply chain.

4. Logistics & Transportation

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics of materials, equipment, and finished products.
  • Ensure legal, safe, and cost-efficient transport of hazardous and dual-use goods.
  • Supervise customs clearance, import/export documentation, and freight providers.
  • Optimize delivery schedules and minimize transport costs.

5. Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Drive LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain functions.
  • Identify risks in supplier base or logistics and build mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and defense regulations.
  • Promote sustainable and traceable sourcing practices aligned with ESG principles.

Key Results (First 12 Months)

  • Fully established, audit-ready supply chain processes.
  • ≥95% on-time delivery (OTD) across procurement and logistics.
  • Supplier compliance rate ≥98% (defense/export/HSE).
  • Inventory accuracy ≥99%; stock turnover aligned with production cadence.
  • ERP/MRP system fully integrated and operational.
  • Zero major supply interruptions affecting production.

Decision-Making Authority

  • Approve supplier selection and key procurement decisions within defined budget.
  • Set inventory policies, logistics contracts, and delivery priorities.
  • Initiate supplier audits and corrective actions.
  • Approve spending within financial limits; escalate exceptions to COO/CFO.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in supply chain leadership roles in manufacturing (defense, chemical, or aerospace preferred).
  • Experience in procurement, logistics, and warehouse management.
  • Strong ERP/MRP knowledge (SAP, Dynamics, or equivalent).
  • Proven success in building supply chains from greenfield or scale-up phase.
  • Strong understanding of export control, REACH, and defense compliance.
  • Fluent in English; Danish preferred.
