Role Mission
To design and implement a comprehensive health, safety, and environment (HSE) system for a new high-risk manufacturing plant, ensuring full compliance with Danish legislation and international standards, while building a strong “Safety First” culture across the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Health & Safety Implementation
- Develop and implement the plant’s safety system from the ground up.
- Conduct regular safety walks and inspections across all production areas.
- Identify potential risks and establish preventive measures.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Liaison

- Build a “Safety First” culture where safety is prioritized over speed or volume.
- Organize regular safety drills (evacuation, fire safety, emergency response).
Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in HSE / Work Environment / Safety Inspection, preferably in chemical or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Practical experience in Danish manufacturing environments and direct interaction with Arbejdstilsynet.
- Relevant certifications in occupational health & safety (e.g., ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, Danish national certificates).
- Proven experience in setting up or transforming HSE systems.

- Determination – ability to enforce rules and standards consistently.
- Lead by Example – demonstrates daily commitment to safety practices.
- Systematic & Practical – builds processes that scale effectively as the plant grows.
Key Results (First 12 Months)
- Full HSE system developed and implemented for the new plant.
- Successful completion of the first Arbejdstilsynet inspection with no critical findings.
- ISO 45001 certification (Occupational Health & Safety) achieved.
- At least 8 training sessions and safety drills delivered for different employee groups.
- Safety reporting system (incidents, near-misses, observations) established with regular reviews.
- Strong safety culture embedded: >90% of employees complete mandatory training and drills on time.
