The mission of this role is to strategically lead the design function across the entire product ecosystem and create a consistent, scalable, and competitive customer experience across web and mobile products.
The role combines UX strategy, product thinking, design organization, design systems, research, AI-first approaches, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a long-term UX strategy for the product ecosystem.
- Ensure a consistent user experience across products, platforms, and channels.
- Lead and develop the Product Design and Design System directions.
- Align Product Design, Marketing Design, Product Management, Analytics, Engineering, and Delivery around a shared design vision.
- Build a systematic approach to JTBD, UX Research, CJM, usability testing, and user behavior analysis.
- Integrate customer insights into product decisions.
- Work with complex marketplace scenarios: search/discovery, trust mechanics, funnels, listing flows, recommendation systems, and seller/buyer interactions.
- Develop the design system and ensure consistency across UI, UX, visual language, interaction patterns, and tone of voice.
- Introduce AI tools into UX workflows, research, prototyping, content generation, and automation.
- Raise the quality bar for design craft: visual design, interaction quality, information architecture, and accessibility.
- Develop Lead/Senior designers, strengthen the design team, and build a culture of ownership.
- Present design strategy to C-level, the leadership team, and shareholders.
- Ensure that design contributes to conversion, retention, trust, monetization, activation, and other business metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in Product / UI / UX Design.
- 2+ years in a leadership role such as Design Lead, Head of Design, Head of Product Design, Design Director, or similar.
- Experience with marketplaces, classifieds, e-commerce, fintech, SaaS, or high-scale consumer products.
- Experience in multi-product organizations or platform / ecosystem-level products.
- Experience managing a design team and developing design leaders.
- Strong hands-on background with web products and mobile apps.
- Experience shaping UX strategy and developing design systems.
- Practical experience with JTBD, CJM, UX Research, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
- Ability to work with product and business metrics and influence them through UX.
- Experience working with C-level stakeholders.
- Interest in AI-assisted workflows, AI UX, personalization, automation, and modern design practices.
